What are the best apps for ipod touch/iphone?

I just bought an ipod touch 3G, and im downloading apps for it. I’ve got tonnes of free games, but i was wondering what you guys think are the best apps? instead of more games, i was thinking something practical or cool to show off to my mates thanks
oh by the way, i have a £15 itunes card so paid apps are okay too

I love Urban Spoon, which takes your location and shows random restaurants by price or type of food with a shake of the ipod.

Pandora is great, though I’m not sure if it works out of the US.

Google earth obviously is a handy tool, and there’s also a flashlight app with different colored screens.
