1) Did itunes just release an update that, when you restore your iphone, screws with JB programs and makes them not work?
2) My iphone version is 3.1.2 (7D11). It was also bought in Australia. Can this be jail-broken? With blackra1n? What program would you use to jailbreak?
3) itunes has my credit card details. If I download free apps using Cydia, is there any chance of itunes charging me?
4) I heard jailbreaking can screw up the iphones Wi-Fi. Is this true?
5) Can I jail-break without restoring first? I want to keep things that itunes can’t hold like contacts, messages, details etc. Is there a downside to jailbreaking without restoring first?
1. Yes. If you upgrade, you cannot jailbreak a 3gs.
2. Yes. Blackra1n will jailbreak the phone. However, it will be a tethered jailbreak which you will lose if you turn off or even restart the phone.
