would an american iphone work in the uk?
im going on holiday to new york in 6 weeks and would like to buy the iphone out there but im not sure if it would work here in the uk, like would i need new sim card or different chargers or cables also if it is possible what if my iphone stopped working would i still have a guarantee to get it fixed ?x
If it stopped working, you’d have a guarantee anyway and could just send it back to the States. As for it working over here, yes you just have to call which ever network provider it’s locked to and get the code to unlock it. In the UK they are locked to O2 but if you buy it and don’t want an O2 contract they have to give you the code, to avoid being accused of having a monopoly over iphone.
