Is it necessary to put a screensaver on my iPhone 3G?

I have heard and seen videos showing that the iPhone has a very tough glass screen I really do not need protection. I had all the body Zagg Invisible Shield on it but today I had to exchange for a new iPhone, due to problems with the modem. Now all I have in it is a silicone / rubber case with nothing covering the screen. I have already ordered the replacement of Zagg but it will take about 2 weeks to get here. Does anyone have a scratched iPhone screen, or back? I do not like scratches on the back either. Should I protect it? The screen also feels better to use the iPhone without protection.

The backs of metal very easily scratch the screen from scratches, but not easily. You should try to protect it from way or another. Also if you can get your hands on a stick in the protective screen to air tight and can hardly notice them. Ether way it is almost inevitable to avoid scratches.
