What is a gigabit port on a router?
I bought a Belkin N + Wireless Router and says it has 4 Gigabit ports, which are / what does that mean? And I do just connect the ethernet cable into the port to use? And I can finally have an ethernet cable connected from the modem to the router and have another Ethernet cable that connects the router to the desktop, or may cut the Internet access for laptops in my house?
before megabit (100) is standard, gigabit (1000) is increasingly in new router. If your wired network is only 100 pc, you will not get the full 1000bit.
