Why is my download speed slower than my load?
I just did a speed test broadband and my download speeds average 140 kbps was while my upload speed was averaging 375 kbps. Taking into account that is supposed to have a package of 2MB I think this is absurdly slow. Demon were more problem and suggested I wait 72 hours, while "some tests." I recently upgraded to a Belkin N1 Wireless Modem Router and have been having problems connecting to the present and the D-link router-old I met today with a new cable and filter. The speed was much faster in the past. Does anyone have any suggestions? I connect to the router via a wireless network cable
Did you put security in any place in the side of your router Wireless? If only connects outside the box and did not bother to set any WPA or WEP to him, the whole neighborhood could be using your signal and the width band. If the router is secure, you checked for any malware or virus issues? Or maybe you run a torrent file sharing program or in the back ground that not noticing? I rule out the modem, too. Check your speed connect directly to PC instead of router. If it is a hardware issue, this will help to find out which device is having problems.
