belkin wireless router access point mode

by admin on February 11, 2010

I want to use XP instead of Belkin software for my wireless connection>>?

OK my connection for my wireless router is like this>>
Network Type>Access Point
Transfer Rate>125 High Speed Mode
Authentication Mode>WPA-PSK
Input Method>AES
Channel>11
I have a 10 digit key… With these setting should windows connect ok with just entering my passkey or do I have to fiddle with other things? I have looked about but can’t find the answer anywhere… XP as it stands finds the wireless network, but I cant connect without Belkins software even when “use windows for wireless connections” is selected…Thanks

You simply go into the XP wireless network manager and turn it back on. When you install the Belkin router, the wireless client utility overrides the windown installed utility and turns it off. You can switch it back on and configure your network with XP, but the Belkin utility is easier to use for most people. Call the tech support help line for Belkin if you need a walk through. 00800 22355460
