Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector?

Do you need the Wi Fi USB connector to actually connect or can you just use the wireless router mine is the Belkin and i think it’s compatible and what does the Wi Fi USB connector do i tried testing it out by going on my WFC settings on Mario Kart DS then i went to “search for an Access Point” but something pop up and it said this ” The access point’s security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS For help call 1-800-1672 (US & Canada or visit www.nintendowifi.com.” and yeah so what do i do do i have to buy a USB connector or do i tweak something in my settings?

I am not really sure what you are asking. Look up your model router in the link that I provided. It may not be compatible in which case you will need to buy the USB connector or a new router. The USB connector would be cheaper.

It sounds like to me that your router is not compatible.
