My laptop will only connect “locally” to my router?
My gateway laptop will not connect to my wireless router (Belkin 802.11g). It has not had a problem with this router until my sister brought her HP laptop home and connected and now I cannot access the internet. I have tried configuring the IP address and turning off firewalls but nothing seems to work. She can still access the internet fine, but on my laptop it says 0 bytes sent and 0 bytes received in the network. This problem happened with our old router when she had her laptop and it also blocked me off like this
Sounds like her laptop is sucking up all the available bandwidth.
