Specification of Dell Inspiron 1100 and Compatability of Wireless Router and Wireless Adapter?
I am about to enter into a contract for broadband and I have been asked to confirm that my laptop – a Dell Inspiron 1100, which is at least 5 years old – conforms to the following minimum PC requirements: Pentium 350MHz; 128 MB RAM; 4 speed CD Rom Drive. I have long since lost any paperwork relating to this machine. Would anyone know if my laptop meets these requirements? Can I also slip in a second question? Can anyone confirm that a BT Voyager 2091 Wireless Router is compatible with a Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter. I have been given the latter by my son and want to be sure that it will work with the Wireless Router which will be supplied by the Broadband provider. Thanks
First the router….most routers and cards are interchangable. 802.11G is world wide standard so it probably will work although I’ve never heard of a BT Voyager 2091.
Second the confuser: go to dell.com and look up your computer and download the specs.
Third; if you are online with the confuser now go to, belarcadvisor their free scanning program will scan your confuser and show you a list of everything in your confuser hadware as well as software. It is safe and best of all easy and free.
