Is my internet being capped?
I have virgin media broadband (unfortinatly) and every now and then the internet will disconnect. The router is fine, I have a belkin wireless N and shows up No Connection, the modem LOOKS fine, all the lights are on. etc. but its getting pretty hot – dont know if this is normal. After a reboot of the whole system its good to go again. Sometimes the internet slows right down and then stops. I thought it was happening at random times but last night im 90% sure it was because bittorrent was on. But I woke up, and I had no internet. Are VM Capping the net, or is this a modem problem? (And I sware to god before ANYONE moans about bittorrent – STICK YOU F*CKING DUMMIES BACK IN YOUR MOUTH AND SIT IN THE CORNER).

Some ISP blocks and disable p2p downloading.P2p consumes lots of bandwidth. This might be the cause of your problem. Have a try browsing without using p2p software and see what happens.
