Why won’t my computer connect to the internet?
I have a windows XP computer, a belkin router and a wireless G+ mimo USB network adapter. I have downloaded the driver thing on my laptop and then put it on my memory stick, then plugged it into my desktop computer and installed it. It seems as though it has worked although when I click ‘View All Available Wireless Networks’ the following message shows up,
“Windows cannot configure this wireless connection. If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection, use that software. If you want windows to configure this wireless connection, start the…” etc.
Why will it not just connect to the internet? I have had it connected before but had it’s memory wiped because it had tonnes of viruses. I can’t keep using this laptop as it doesn’t have nearly enough memory for all of my writing. Help?
There’s another program installed on your computer that is managing your wireless connection – probably from your network adapter. Use that to connect.
