Reinstalled xp- now I can’t connect to internet?
Ive had to restart my windows xp laptop, and now I am having a lot of trouble connecting to the internet. FYI my ISP is verizon (I have DSL), and Im using a Belkin wireless router, and a dell inspiron E 1405 laptop
The problem is I cannot connect to the my home wireless network, when I go into control pannel –> network connections, the option to connect to wireless networks is not even there.
So I unplugged the ethernet cable to my router, and plugged it into my laptop directly, but still no luck.
Then I tried to reinstall the verizon installation CD, however it tells me that I don’t even have an ethernet adapter, which is not true. Also, a windows message saying I need to activate windows keeps popping up, but I can’t do that unless I can connect to the internet.
My guess is that I need to download some drivers, Im not sure though. Can someone please help me out?
YEs,.. Download , or use your laptop’s driver CD/DVD.
