Wireless Network help please?
So I have a Belkin wireless G router and I decided to update the driver. So I went to the site, found the right driver, downloaded and installed it. It is called “Belkin Wireless Networking Utility” and the old one is called “Belkin wireless USD utility”. How do I get my computer to use the new driver? It says not connected at the bottom of the screen on the new one and it still has the old one too. It also wont let me add a new connection on the new utility. Help!

I tried uninstalling the old one and then the new one, and then reinstalling the new one and it still wouldnt work!
I want to use the new driver, its like a newer program and it has better options for managing the connection…
The “Belkin Wireless Networking Utility” is for a Belkin USB adapter or PCI card not for the router. There are two ends to a wireless system. The ROUTER doesn’t actually use a DRIVER. it uses firmware on the router itself. Your wireless adapters do use drivers and you have to get the one that matches the model of your adapter. So recheck to see what you are attempting to do and get the correct software.
Routers have Firmware updates
Adapters have drivers.
Add: Be careful with the Drivers from Belkin, even with the same adapter model, there are many revisions. Each one may use a different driver so recheck to see if you really got the correct driver. if not, it won’t work.
