belkin wireless router g mimo setup

by admin on March 16, 2010

How can I stop my laptop saying this “Windows was unable to find a certificate to log on to the network”?

I have recently setup a new Belkin G+ MIMO Router (model number: F5D9630uk4A). All is well on the internet front and my desktop connects fine using the accompanying USB Wi-fi dongle. However when I came to use my laptop with its built in wireless while trying to connect through the windows wireless utility. The taskbar continues to show this message “Windows was unable to find a certificate to log on to the network”. My network is secured with a 128 bit WEP key. I am normally pretty competent with networking however this has foxed me mainly because I don’t know whether the problem is with the router settings or with my laptop.
Cheers.

“enable ieee 802 1x authentication for this network” is ticked in the authentication tab of the connection properties
