Cannot get an ip address?

I have a westell versalink 327w and i have a wireless connection to it through my belkin router on the downstairs computer. I am connected to the network at an excellent rate but i have no ip address so i cant access the internet with it. also when i access my gateway it does not detect any wireless devices connected to it . i have tried the cmd prompt ipconfig/renew etc…thing and still cannot get an ip address to work what do i do?
I Did all the prompts you could do but i still gets nada

Here’s what I would do in order:

1. ping your router. if you don’t have a response, you may not have your wireless card fully enabled or correctly configured to the gateway’s security specifications.

2. Goto Control Panel and select Network Connections. Right click on your wireless connection and choose “Properties”. Highlight “Internet Protocol” in the middle of your screen and hit the “Properties” button. Make sure you have “Obtain An IP Address Auto” selected. Choose the same for the DNS section below that.

3. ping your router again. if you get a response, ping www.yahoo.com and wait for responses. if you can’t get a response for either ping, you may want to reset your router. i don’t think you have MAC address filtering on, but if you do, you may not get a IP unless you are on the “good” list.
