Resetting Belkin Wireless G Router F5D7230-4?
My mom recently gave me her old router (belkin wireless G router product number F5d7230-4) since she purchased a new one and when i try to install it at home, it doesnt work. I am using the installation cd that came with it and the instruction booklet. the instruction booklet says that when running the wizard, i should come to a screen that will check my internet connection type then i should come to a screen that requires my internet username and password. but after it determines the connection type i am asked to restart my computer and when i restart it, it says “error: problems communicating with router” and then it doesnt work.
my internet connection requires me to use a username and password but it is not letting me add one to the router! could it be possible that i have to reset the router back to factory defaults because my moms internet information is on the route? or does that not matter?
-Reset the router to factory default & configure for you and your location
-Router Power ON. Push & Hold RESET for 30secs.
