Can i Connect my modem to a router, then branch from my router to a wireless router?
Ok i just gopt a wireless router and set it all up last night. I have my x-box connected to the wireless router via ethernet. the problem is its kicking me off x-box live. To solve this, im wondering if i can go from modem—->router then branch. one branc to my x-box and the other branch to my wireless router. what problems couild i expect? will this work? any other solutions?

It sounds like you are not configuring the wireless router correctly. The reason why Xbox Live is not operational could be from the NAT firewall from the wireless router. You may need to configure the port forwarding. You may also need to disable the DHCP function of the wireless router. The XBOX might have a specific IP configured on it so when you use the DHCP function of the wireless router, it may cause some issue.
You may need to contact XBOX support tech to see what is the best solution they will advise (configure the XBOX or that you need to reconfigure the wireless router)
