Question about wireless router?
I have a Belkin wireless router, which is probably now 3 years old. On my Macbook Pro, the wireless signal strength indicator often drops down to the lowest level for a while, then returns to the maximum level. I’m often disconnected from my corporate VPN because of this. Is it a problem with my router, or with the connection?
If you have a 2.4gHz cordless phone, that could be the potential source of your problem. It is on the same frequency band as your router. Observe the wifi signal on your Macbook whenever you turn on the cordless phone to make a call. You could try changing the wifi channel you use for least phone interference.
