Can you help me figure out what I need to do to get my Internet to work?
Obviously, I’m at work using the internet service here. My home interent is messed up.
But, here’s my scenerio… The Interenet connection is established and says I have a either a good or very good connection. I do have a router, the router lights up the “wireless” but not the “internet”; instead it will blink in pulses about 4-5 times. I have tried unplugging my router, resetting my modem, I even called my internet supplier and had them reset my modem. Trust me, I’ve dealt with some internet issues and find myself to be pretty in tune about fixing the problems most of the time on my own, but this time I’ve ran into a wall. This is especially true considering the internet provider can’t even help me. So, what do you suggest?
By the way, I have a Belkin 54g router.
Sounds to me like either one of your computers does not like the router, or you have not configured the router properly. It takes time and patients to install a router on a home network and it can be a pain sometimes. I would consult the manufacturer of the router to see what advise they offer, and possible consider the purchase of a another router. Your ISP will not help, because you have added a router to the connection they clearly do not support. It’s also kind of strange to me that you are having these problems in the first place since most ISP providers (in the US anyway) provide a wireless router with the service. Good luck.
