I have a belkin N1 Router and a BT Voyager 2000 Wireless Modem and I wish to connect through my BT 1010 USB?
I have a Belkin N1 Router connect with ethernet to my BT voyager 2000 wireless modem, and I would like to connect to the Belkin router and not the modem, but my adapter does not want to connect to the belking router. My computer runs on windows XP Home Edition with service pack 2.
When I look up existing wireless networks on my computers it comes up with the wireless modem and the belking router, but I can only connect to the BT Wireless modem. However, I have an acer laptop which I can connect to either network and either one of them works fine.
you need to put the wireless modem in bridge modem only. Its acting as a router. so in a sense you have two routers on the same network both probably trying to hand out dhcp.
You also should not be using any usb connections to get internet access, use only ethernet/cat5 cables.
