Belkin Wireless Router not broadcasting on the Internet.?
A week ago I had Verizon DSL and after years of using my wireless router ADSL, just stop transmitting internet. I was using a DSL modem, but a couple of days ago I switched to Comcast and now Internet using a modem cable. I connected everything right. The cable modem is also connected the wireless router is also connected to my wired desktop. My computer desktop internet is fine when its wired, but the wireless router is still not working. It transmits a wireless signal but no Internet. I tried resetting the router to factory settings and do a lot of other things too, but nothing worked. I even changed to a Belkin Wireless Router I have had. It is a wireless Belkin G Router, model no. F5D723OC. So how I can get my router to transmit Internet again and not just a sign? If anyone can help me with anything that would be helpful here. Best answer gets 10 points! Thanks a bunch!
Hey Puckhound: Ensure that no emission function off, if it is to do this, open the router page 192.168.1.1>> this type in the address bar of Internet Explorer to enable the transmission of the SSID, put a check mark next to the box inthe SSID broadcast, then click Apply Changes. The change is immediate. Each team should now be configured to connect to your specific SSID, a ANY SSID no longer be accepted. See the documentation for your wireless network adapter for information about making this change
