Wireless advice, anyone…?
…bought a Belkin High speed mode Wireless G notebook network card over the weekend for my Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop (had it for ages, and it was starting to collect dust in the attic!). Put the disc in, and managed to put the card in, thinking I’d be on the net right away…no can do. My main comp. has AOL wireless moden router, and so thought my new purshace would shine from the beginning. Tried to get onto AOL, but get messages telling me it can’t connect. Where have I boogered up? All replies will be greatly appreciated.
Oh dear…excuse my spelling!
Debbie…Belkin with five exclamation marks? You make it sound like a packet of spent rubbers. But seriously. Do you have bad news of Belkin – at Norwich PC World, they told me it was one on the best there was. hmm…
sounds like a firewall issue.
Run the aol router disk, in the laptop.
The belkin is only a sender, (though you need to install belkin disc for it to operate) so treat the laptop, now wireless, like your main pc, and run the aol stuff again.
