Problems with wireless network connection?
I keep losing my wireless connection. I have sbc high speed at a desk in a room and a Belkin router. But for some reason I can not stay in touch. I restarted the DSL and wireless router. I made sure that my drivers were current in my laptop. I have a new Acer management of Windows Vista. I tried another laptop and is doing the same things, do not maintain the connection. I read something about "frequency" and interference with cordless phones. Can anyone help me solve this problem more, because I'm so frustrated. At this point, I'll have a dial up with stonger! (LOL)
There can be no interference from microwaves and cordless phones that use the same 2.4GHz frequency. Try unplugging your router, it off for 10 minutes, then plug it back in. I was having a similar problem and that fixed it. If the problem persists, try to reconfigure the router use a different channel (it must be given options of channels 1 to 11) if all else fails, try going to the Belkin website and looking for a section of forums. There is someone always at least 1 more having the same problem.
