What are the best settings for Actiontec GT 701 DSL modem and Belkin F5D9230-4 Wireless G Router?
I have both hooked up now, and I am able to access the internet fine (wirelessly). Sometimes the internet kind of lags and locks up (even when I am connected with a great signal at 54 Mbps). I didn’t install any of the software for the Belkin (never need to), but I guess the questions I need to know are this: Do I need to change the DSL modem to act as a bridge? I am not real sure – to tie in to things, I run a torrent program that needs port forwarding – I have been to portforward.com and setup port forwarding for both the modem AND the wireless router (that didn’t work), and then I was told that I ONLY need to enable port forwarding on the wireless router, and that doesn’t work – Any ideas?
Do you have a wife? If she is blonde and pregnant i am sure she is very smart ask her
