Belkin Wireless Internet?

Before I start I just want to point out I know practically nothing about networking.

I bought a Belkin N (F5D8633uk4A) Wireless Router about 6 month ago and it’s been working perfectly. But today to get onto a file sharing program it said something about my IP Address so i clicked on it and it took me to the manuel setup page so I changed something to do with my IP address and I think i turned off something to do with a mac address but I could be mistaken.

My problem is that in doing so I cannot access the internet anymore. Not from my laptop or from my PC which is wired up to the router and modem. Nor can I get onto the setup page to undo what I did. I am currently using my friends computer the now to look for help but I’m finding very little.

Sorry for my very vague explanation but any help would be appriciated.

With my Linksys router, I can re-set it by pressing a tiny reset button on the back of the router. This returns the router settings to the default set by the factory, as though you just bought it. You should then be able to get things going again.

For the Belkin N, the Reset button is Red. First, try to just reset it by pressing and quickly releasing the Reset button. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The “Power/Ready” light will begin to blink. When the “Power/Ready” light becomes solid again, the reset is complete. Then, try to access the internet. This way preserves your router settings.

If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to restore the Factory Default settings. Press and hold the “Reset” button for at least 10 seconds, then release it. The lights on the Router will momentarily flash. The “Power/Ready” light will begin to blink. When the “Power/Ready” light becomes solid again, the restore is complete.
