hi there I’m having trouble connecting 2nd computer to my wireless network?
i have an aol netgear wireless router .which connects through a belkin usb adapter. my brother tried to run the setup disc for belkin on his but it didnt find the netgear router,, does he need to run the netgear setup disc. unfortuantly i can not find it so is there another way. me being me i thought that any other computer would be able to connect to any network with the password as long as it was wireless or wireless enabled through an adapter. please help. thanks
Sometimes in the router settings, you can make the router undiscoverable. Check and see if that has been ticked.
Also, I would NOT (personal experience) allow the Belkin wireless manager, manage your wireless connection on your laptop and let windows do the work. It tends to be a lot more stable, which again should be a tick box on your wireless settings manager.
