Can’t connect to Belkin 54G Router…?
Hi, I live in a shared house with 2 other people, we have 2mb broadband and a Belkin 54g wireless router but only one of us can connect to the internet at any one time.
I’ve tried going to the IP address given on the support website but everytime I try I get the message “cannot open page because the server is not responding”.
I use a Mac and my housemates use PC’s.
Does anyone know how I can rectify this problem?
1) Plug a pc/mac whatever directly into the router. Make sure you have cleared all the temporary files from the browser.
2) Use the browser and address previously given. If it doesn’t work, reset the router. Wait a couple of minutes before you try again. If it still doesn’t work call tech support and report exactly what the error message is to them.
3) Once you get into the router, you need to check the setup to make sure that it allows mulitple IP’s (more than one address), that it is not bridged and so forth.
