Belkin G Wireless router troubleshooting? HELP!?
I’m having trouble making my wireless g router connect to the Internet. I followed the easy install process and all the steps go fine except until the end when it’s trying to make or find an internet connection.
My SBC Yahoo DSL modem as four little lights that are usually turned on when I use it directly to my computer: Power, Ethernet, DSL, and Internet. But when I connect the Ethernet cable to the router and another connection between the computer and router the Ethernet light of the modem just stays off throughout the installation process and I think that might be a reason why its not connecting to the internet at that last step.
Is my modem not compatible for the router?
I also tried going through the web based process but it was kind of hard to know what I need to change I tried changing the IP Address of the router to that of my computer but it still didn’t work when I did the easy install process again.
any suggestions?
might have your ethernet cables wrong, give them a check!
