Can someone help me with my wireless router?
I got a new wireless router and it has four ports. I installed the router and also got into my router so that I could make it connect with my DSL modem. The problem is that I connected the computer to the router and it says that I am connected to the internet but I cannot surf the web. I went on and thought maybe it will give me wireless transmission so I got my lap top and tried it. I open my network and it said that I was connected to the internet and the same thing happen. Does someone know what I can do to solve this problem? The first person that makes my router work will get best answer.

I have had the same problem in the past and i recenlty brought a netcomm wireless router, it said it was all fine but i couldnt surf the net!!!
So this is the problem, It is a DNS issue and it gets lost when installing a new “router”. All you need to do is simply call up your internet provider tell him the issue and he will tell you to go to Network connections> local area network > Properties> Scroll down you will see internet protocol you will the see saying “use the following DNS address and your internet provider willl tell you what DNS address to put in there.
