how can i setup a wireless internet?
i have a ISP and a modem, and my question is: if i were to go to wal-mart, or best buy, and buy a wireless router, then connect my modem to the wireless router, could i then have a wireless network? or do i have to pay for wireless internet service to have a wireless network in my home?
how can i set up a password so that i can protect my network from moochers?
You don’t have to pay for the wireless service. You just have to set it up. I agree that a Linksys is probably the best way to go. They’re not the cheapest, also not the most expesive, but they work great. Also, it may be in your best intrest to have someone, who knows a little bit about them, hook it up for you. It may save you a headache.
