What wireless modems are compatible with BT broadband?
I have BT broadband via a wired connection and I want to buy a wireless router but dont know the best one to get, other than going with the official BT one. Which ones are compatible for both Mac and PC and work with BT, and which are the best and most reliable makes.
in my experience as a life long bt customer and with bt broadband since its inception,i have found that any router will work with bt broadband but you have to make sure its a “modem router”
cable broadband such as n.t.l use a cable router,as the adsl signal they use is different to a adsl signal on a phone line
so when buying a modem router or sometimes known as a “router modem” just check the box or specifications and it will normally tell you if its comaptible with bt,such companys like dabs(http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=3XWK&CategorySelectedId=11177&PageMode=1&NavigationKey=11177,4294960266&InMerch=1) and misco(http://www.misco.co.uk/categories/~1231~/Wired.htm)are among the best and the cheapest broadband modem routers you can buy,i use dabs all the time ecspecially for graphic cards and memory
