What are the best settings for Netgear wireless router WPN 824 v2 for a Macbook?

I have a problem getting the best settings for my Netgear WPN 824 wireless router. It disconnects after a few hours and when I try to reconnect, it says, “connection timed out.” However, after restarting the modem, router & my macbook pro, it reconnects …but disconnects after some time. I run W7 on my macbook pro and when I connect while on Windows, it stays a bit longer, but still disconnects later. Please, can anyone give me the right settings to use so that I can get the best speed and maintain the connection for my macbook pro? I use it more often than the W7.
Also, I was using D-Link router before. I never experienced any of these problems while on it.

Sounds like the same problem I am having AND many many others who own this router. I have to reboot it every morning and then when I get home from work. A PAIN !!. I found it was more prevalent when I was P2P downloading but also freezes “whenever it likes”.

Might be the answer, appears the WPN824 cannot handle too many connections, so I lowered the amount of allowable connections in uTorrent. The router appears quite useless from the many forums I viewed today (it has already crashed again since starting this message!)
