best wireless router streaming video

How Do I choose the best wireless internet router?

This is basically what I need.
Something that:
-Has long range so that I can use my laptop anywhere in the house.
-Supports a lot of video/picture/game streaming for my brother’s Xbox 360.
-Has a fast internet connection (and stays connected)

If you can afford them, look at the gaming routers rather than the standard home routers.
They cost about twice what your typical home router costs ($150 – 200) but they can do things that your standard home router cannot do.
The standard router allows multiple machines to access the internet at the same time, but does not attempt to share that access evenly. They have a very simple first come first served and the rest of you are hosed system. This is no problem if the two of you are just surfing the web, but if your bro is hip deep in bad guys slashing away on line, and you decide to check out that YouTube clip, his lag will jump, he will die, and you WILL hear about it. (Gamers are touchy that way)
Gaming routers cost what the do be cause they do prioritize traffic and have higher performance.
Otherwise, go with an N router and adapter for the Xbox. Choose a major brand, D-link, Netgear, Linksys, Belkin
They all work well
