Cannot detect home wireless network (D-Link DI-524)?

I’m trying to set up a home wireless network using the wireless router D-Link DI-524. I was able to set it up and configure it so that I can now access the Internet using a wired Ethernet connection through one of the 4 Ethernet ports of the router (i.e., PC to D-Link to Cable Modem to Internet). However, when I try to detect the wireless network that I configured using “View Available Wireless Networks” in Windows, I can’t see the SSID name that I used in the configuration steps. I am, however, able to see all of my neighbors’ wireless networks.

I was wondering if similar things have happened to others, and how you went about to fix it.

Much thanks.

Do a hard reset on the router (push the pin hole in at the back for 20 seconds and then pull the power plug out) then Try again if that does not work I have a 524 around here somewhere, where I can test things.
