Network with a router at home: How is that my connection keeps quitting?
I have DI-524 Wireless Router D-Link one. The computer in the bedroom has the wireless adapter. The computer in the living room has ethernet adapter. With the computer in the living room seems to keep getting booted offline. The other equipment remains online at the moment and has no problems. In my best approach seems to be able to find the connection each time the computer is idle for 10 minutes or well. Any clue on how to set router settings so this will not occur or any other solution. The only way I could continue without restart my computer is using the Firefox browser and download any extension that allows automatic updates on any page. I have Verizon DSL.
This is a strange problem. From what you said, I can not tell if the problem is in your computer or your router. Try using a different port on the router, and play around with the settings the router. If that does not work, borrow another router from a friend and see if it works better.
