Wireless N Router (compatible with G) that do not work with G wireless laptop?
Hello! I am having some problems connecting a laptop friend to our network. Both computers are running XP. I have a D-Link DIR-625 RangeBooster Wireless N Router. Is said to be compatible with earlier devices. Your computer is a Compaq Presario V2000. They are 2 years old. The wireless card is b / g compatible. I tried the network setup wizard, and is connected directly and still having problems! It says there is limited / no connectivity, while sitting right next to the router, connected to a port of it. I do not know what is not working. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! The first two answers to no avail. (The first, everything was already set forth. And the second, that's what I tried.: (Ahhh.
Yes the N routers are compatible with a / b / g No need to create a new connection will only turn the wireless switch, right click the icon a computer in the task tray, click view all available networks, click enter his password, click connect. Hope this helps
