Why wont my Xbox 360 live work with my D-Link Dir 615 wireless router?
I bought the D-Link DIR 615 router since my linksys router was giving me far too much grief on the wireless side of things. When I went to connect to my xbox live after configuring the new router, I got to the point where it told me my MTU setting was too low. xbox live requires something like 1364, but the default on the router is 1500.
So i upgraded the firmware on the router, and now when I go to connect to xbox live, it tells me the router wont even give my xbox and ip address.
As far as I can see, the xbox has been given an ip address since I tried to put it in the DMZ on the router. Unfortunately that did nothing.
Anyone have a solution to this? or should I just take the router back?
Make sure your Xbox ip address settings are set to auto. If you still cannot get an IP Address have a look here:-
