Do you prefer D-Link or Belkin wireless routers?
My wireless router was kablooey Internet age, so I bought 2 potential substitutes a tech-savvy friend is going to help me get up and running. A router is a D-Link, the other Belkin. The secretary of Best Buy recommends that these as the least likely to have problems "speaking with" my desktop Mac OS 9.2. (I use a high-speed DSL modem and AT & T DSL as my Internet service provider). For two years, when I bought a Windows laptop, I had a little trouble finding a wireless router that was "backwards compatible" w / Mac At first I tried Linksys, because of its great reputation, but my Mac and simply do not get along.: (I had no such problems with the D-Link I bought then, but now is broken. Do you think you should try the new D-Link first, or the first Belkin? I can return even if they are outside of the package, but I prefer to open only the one most likely to work. And no, you can completely get rid of the Mac, since it is the only computer that my mom to use.
I have had nothing but problems with Belkin products. D-Link stuff has always worked without problems for me.
