Please help. Router and wireless internet connection!?
Recently I just received a new lab top, and router to install wireless internet. The new D-link router came with a installation CD which I followed, and was told after following the proper steps, that the router had been configured successfully. When I open my lab top it recognizes the new network and joins it, saying that there is a strong connection, but no internet pages will load, this is the same with other lab tops and Iphones in the house. My modem the router is attached to has no LAN activity, and I don’t know why, could this be a problem? If not why is my wireless internet not working?
Yes, it’s connected, but I don’t know anything about WAN or IP address.
Connect the network wire from the modem to the port that say “WAN” on the D-Link router.
Now, unplug the power cable from the modem for about 15 minutes.
After the 15 minutes are up, plug-in the power cable of the modem.
You should then have Internet access.
