help on connecting a D-Link DIR-300 wireless router?
Ok, so I bought a d-link dir-300 wireless router, and I could not connect my team because it is a sony vaio and the Ethernet cable was great, so I went and bought a D-LINK PCI Adapter. so now that everything is connected and ready I went to connect my router but it doesn't let me go to the page that I have to Go to Start http://192.168.0.1 things I've done the entrepreneurial cmd.exe ipconfig thing, but all that happens is sperficic Connection DNS suffix: IP address gateway.2wire.net: 10.0.01 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway defult: 10.0.0.138 it doesn't say anything on the 192.168.0.1 as default gateway, so if you can help that would be great.
You need to verify that its not your lan card I just purchased and installed. Check to see if the Internet, even before getting to the router to ensure it works. You need to connect the router to your cable or DSL modem before you can make the whole site 192.168.0.1 is a site that is built into the router. On this site you make your network name and encryption key length of network. Connect the modem to the router Ethernet cable through the Internet port on the back of the router. It also should be given the installation CD with him and he says run cd cd before connecting hardware.
