d-link wireless router ip addresses

by admin on May 15, 2010

I have an SBC (now AT & T) for the modem and have D-Link router … How I can password protect my wireless network?

After that I enter the IP address in the search box, leads me to AT & T modem site, side D-Link router. Is this correct? And once you get to AT & T site modem, I can not seem to find anything that asks if you want to password protect my wireless connection … please help.

Not is correct. And the reason you're getting the modem and the router is not because you have the computer connected to the computer instead of the router. DSL modem goes to router and router going to the machine. Anyway, after you type in the ipaddress on the router, usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 then you can go ahead and set so that the router begins to give the signal for the radio 'network. Once in the D-Link, go to wireless and fill out the information requested below, at the bottom where it says WEP encryption and use the first key. You can use more than one if you want, but you must remember. In any case, to set the password that's all you have to do.
