How to connect two routers?

Well I have the cable upstairs with a modem connected to a router. One wire goes to the floor. I have a router in my second room that I want to go to two teams. I have all the necessary cables to divide (No need for wireless) When I try does not work, I think it has to do with IP address and division of the connection (I have no access to the configuration of the router) and I know you're asking why not have it all connected in one room? well i have access to a router and I need several computers connected in my room for more internet. And the modem / router first need to stay up .. So basically they need to function as a modem -> First Router -> Second Router first router with 3 computers connected to that (2 + my cable) and in my room I have a router that I have to be connected to two computers .. router is: DX-E401 (Dynex) Secondly my router: a D-Link WBR-2310 Computer Cable Internet = Total: 4 (2 are mine)

to router # 1, the DHCP server and select the range of IP addresses. assign a static IP address to router # 2 which is outside the range of IP addresses using the MAC address of the router 2. entrance to the router 2. Disable DHCP functions and assign the LAN IP to static IP address since the DHCP server 1. * Do not use the WAN interface of router 2 LAN ports only to check all connections CAT5 connections: Modem Router>> server Router 2 1/DHCP restart the route from the modem> Router1> Router2> Pc's
