How can I configure a wireless router to get?
I have to spread the WiFi in my office who is my guest house behind from my house to my house. I need a set up a wireless router to receive to receive the signal in my house and I have two 2.4 GHz 15 dBi WiFi Antennas and two D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit routers. Please help i need this ASAP.
If you want to connect these two units wirelessly, you can not! Is required a router that supports WDS (wireless distribution system) or one that can be set to a "client" mode. These routers do not have either (I had to download manual to be sure, but do not.) Can WIRE between them and have them work but you can not connect. You are another option to get a point or wireless bridge access that supports the bridge mode. Connect wirelessly to the first router and have your router's Ethernet output running second. Like the DAP-1522 http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=663 There are routers with WDS or client mode, but the DIR655 and can not be changed to support modes. I hate to be the only one I have to say, but that's the how they are designed. They can not connect wirelessly to each other as they feel and there is no firmware for them so they can connect in this way.
