My Wireless Internet isn’t connecting?
I have a d-link wireless router hooked up to a modem with an ethernet cable. From here it sends a wireless signal to my laptop. The laptop has been recieving this fine for the past 6 months until the other day it dropped out without warning. Ever since then it has been telling me that the computer has not assigned it a network address, and my desktop computer which holds the base signal tells me it can’t renew it’s IP address. . . what the hell is going on
The d-link doesn’t recognize that there is anything else connected to it, but the laptop knows the signal is still there, and still says it’s strong
In network connections on the base computer refering to the wireless signal it reads limited or no connectivity
Try resetting the router to the defaults.
And unplugging it for a couple of mins.
If the router feels hot, it is probably working too hard because of the wireless encryption.
