D-Link Wireless Router not working when you switch to Comcast?
I can not connect to the Internet in my new Comcast Internet. Still in my DSL, using the same router. *** I can connect using a single PC modem connected to Comcast yet .*** I have both DSL and Comcast. I switched to Comcast and I have configured my router D-Link wireless. The status shows connected with dynamic DHCP router address to something like ….. 68.168.87 so I know that is not local. Then I see Wireless LAN addresses are local 192.168.0. # # And I have a desk with cable connection and a laptop connected wireless. But I can not connect Internet. I checked my TCPIP settings but it seems normal. If I connect the router back to the DSL and reconfigure, it works well. So what am I missing. Is it the local IP addresses too high? I read somewhere that Comcast likes to keep the scope address to only 5 points, all under 99. I have to try them that later, when I get home … Any hints will be helpful Thanks
Does it work when connected directly to your computer? Your IP DHCP is correct Comast and local people are correct. Check what it says your IP gateway is in the router and check with comast to ensure it is correct. Also, check the router clone the MAC address, which could be a problem. You may want to completely reset the router and connect the modem to Comcast. Hope this helps
