Help! I can’t access my mac mail since going wireless?
I have a mac book pro and just got a D-Link wireless router. I have a dsl sbc yahoo account. Since connecting to the wireless router, I can’t access my email on the mac mail program. Do I need to change any settings such as the smtp or port? I have already deleted the pop account and tried to re-do adding the account, but when I do i get this error:
The POP server “pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com” is not responding Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the “Incoming Mail Server” field. If it still doesn’t respond, the server might be temporarily unavailable.
If you continue, you may not be able to receive any email.
Well it’s been doing this for a week now, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Open your mail window, beside the blue apple click on “mail” than chose preferences…chose your mail account
here is the settings for incoming and outgoing mail
Yahoo incoming mail server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Yahoo outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
click on “server settings”
change the port to 587
router
