How I can configure security on a wireless network?
I can configure a wireless network using a D link router Working (emissions) I can use the internet from my laptop but every time I try to run the D-link wizard to name it and added security, you lose the network connection. Now I have to upload with an unsecured network … but at least it works. I want to put security on it. How? I need to connect the ethernet cable what where?? After is made, I can return the cords to where they are now?
Go to the installation guide on the installation CD for instructions on setting Wireless Security. You must be logged into the router to configure the password and encryption. You can also find the instructions http://www.dlink.com customer service. You also need to connect to the router using an Ethernet cable to keep your connection to configure your network name, password and encryption.
