Do I have to enable Wireless-B on my D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router DIR-655?
I have a router, the DIR-655 router D-Link (Firmware 1.21), and I know what is happening. I have a PSP and want to connect to my router. I did the following steps: 1) make sure security settings was made WPA-PSK (TKIP or AES) 2) PSP scanned router 3) found 4) entered the correct security key 5) Tested router connection, and said he could not connect. I tried to set a direction IP on the PSP, but did not work, there was no option Save configuration stuff there, either. I also tried to change it to only TKIP or AES only and try again and fail. So I checked the voice and learned that the PSP uses B connectivity. Now they are in the configuration of mixed N and G, but I do not know how to get activated B connectivity. Is there some special way to do it? and yes, I went to http://192.something something, but found nothing there. Vi that the 1.30 firmware driven B connectivity options, but says I have 1.21 … so I dont know what is wrong now!
I have a friend who had the same problem. Your connect to your PS3 at home, but not connected to any other router. After some research shows that it is a kind of parental control Sony put on the PSP so that children can not access the Internet in open systems. You have to contact Sony and have a way of disabling that "feature". We tried different things for hours and technology Sony finally spoke with wonder still I have the MAC address of the PSP. The other option is hacked the firmware, but I have no PSP, so I could not tell if it would work or if it is safe. Sorry.
