I forgot the password to setup my wireless router. I tried resetting the unit, but no luck?
I own a D-Link DI-524 wireless router, and I’ve only used it to broadcast an internet signal throughout my house. I want to set up a network now, but when I went to set it up I forgot the password for the router. I tried to reset the unit from the little reset button on the back, but when I went to log on again and type in the factory set user name ‘ADMIN’ with no password I still can’t get in. Anyone think they can help me with this?
I didn’t know to hold the button for that long, I’ll try it and let y’all know how it went.
Try deleting the “admin” in that field so it’s blank just like the password field. Then hit enter. I’m assuming you already knew you had to hold the reset button down for 15-30 seconds.
